Hi all. I've been type 1 since 1988. Went 20 years with no complications thinking I was invincible. Now I'm paying the price. I suffer with peripheral neuropathy, have had over 4000 laser burns from PRP. Have had full vitrectomy sin both eyes, and have exceptionally bad leg ulcers. It would be nice to hear from people who are in the same situation. I don't complain about my issues, as they were bought on by me living a wild lifestyle. There are kids out there with cancer, so what right have I got to complain.
 
I always say regardless of anything else if you feel it, it hurts, it matters! And to me!
