Hi everyone. My name is beanie1.Could anyone let me know if metformin is avalable in liquid form as I sometimes have trouble swallowing the tablets

Hello and welcome. I'll give your post a bump so someone can help. I'm not on meds myself (luckily).
Do stick with the forum and ask lots of questions. We like lots of questions.

I think it is but it's very expensive and not generally available on the NHS. If you have 1000mg tablets, 500mg may be smaller.

There was a thread about this recently and someone posted that it is available as a liquid. Apparently it is possible to get it on the NHS if there is a medical reason for not being able to take tablets. There might be tablets that have a smooth surface and are easier to swallow.

When I was little and got ill my mum used to crush pills between two spoons. When I was taking huge magnesium pills recently I used a pestle and mortar to crumble them (not crush as they turned to powder and made me cough).
