In common with many who have posted on ths forum I have recently been changed by my GP to a new Blood Glucose Monitor Meter.
I previously owned a number of meters (office, 2 at home, bag, car etc) and now I have ONE.

Can anyone advise where I can buy another one?
I'm located in Essex if thats significant.

I have searched the major retailers and cannot find a supplier, the GP practice has no idea and, although I have written to the maker, I have not yet received a reply.

Hi, I was changed to Omnitest 3 a year ago and I have not problems whatsoever. Initially, I was given only one meter but then I contacted the manufacturer directly (B Braun 0800 163 007) and they posted 2 more to my own address. I can't see why they wouldn't do the same with you, those guys make money with the test strips not the glucometers.

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the response. I did contact them soon after I posted the original question and they sent me a meter. I have a diabetic clinic appt soon and will raise the subject of spare meters and replacements (some are bound to be damaged or lost) at that time. The administration of the changeover was amateur in the extreme but that's (probably) not the fault of the makers.
