We have been using microwave ovens for close on thirty years, we would never be with out one in the kitchen.I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but I used it for scrambling my eggs this morning and they were perfect!

In the pix I posted above in post #4, the chook was cooked in a plastic container, with a plastic plate on top of it.I think that any microwave safe container would do as long as it holds the heat.
