Hi there

First time on here so be gentle with me :D . I have been diabetic for 30 years now but just lately I am having one or two problems. I am living in France so I thought I may be able to get some advice etc from fellow English diabetics, a couple of other forums I have looked at seem to be American and they do tend to do and say things a little bit differant there.

Speak again soon.

Elaine

Hello Elaine and welcome to the forum

There are some english people who reside in France that are members here and they will introduce themselves to you.

Hope you find what you are looking for here and look forward to your postings. I am sure you will be able to help others too.

Take care,

Catherine.

Hello Elaine,

Welcome to this helpful Forum. I've been a member since last November when I was diagnosed as Type 2 with an HbA1c of 15%.

Having done loads of research, mainly suggested by the Forum, and getting to understand some of the differing approaches to diabetes, I've made great improvements in my HbA1c (7% in March), although I know I still have a way to go.
It's been hard work and time consuming and I realise it'll be a constant challenge. I'm now feeling a bit clearer about it all and would like to become more active on the Forum and offer a bit of help to others when I think I've something useful to contribute.

I've lived in Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany) for 15 years, so maybe I've some experience and/or knowledge that might be relevent to you?

Do let us know the current issues you've mentioned - whatever they are, I'm sure you can count on support here.

Looking forward to hearing more,

Jane.
