Hi my name is Yvonne and I am new to the forum and have only recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes- it is all quite scarry

Yes it is, but it does get easier as you get a handle on the information. Read, ask any questions that you have and this fabulous community will be here to support you based on their own experiences!

Hi @Yvonne Peach

Welcome to our little world.

And @Lobsang Tsultim is spot on

Fabulous community on here, ask away

No silly questions except the one you don't ask.
Trust me I asked plenty.

It takes a little while, but you'll get to grips with this soon enough

Never be afraid to ask any question. Unlike many other forums, here someone will usually give a link to previous answers on the subject, there are no bullies here, we're all in the same boat and all were scared and confused originally. We merely wish to help a fellow sufferer if possible. It may be tedious seeing the same questions asked again and again but we were just as bad, so fire away. and welcome to the forum.

Hi Yvonne Peach,

I'm new here too although diagnosed several years ago now.

This forum is a very helpful place to be and it's true people are happy to help us and answer questions.

So welcome x

Hello and welcome @Yvonne Peach

As a fellow type 2 I agree it is quite scary and overwhelming at first. This forum has been a lifesaver to me and I agree with the previous posters that everyone here just wants to help.

Ask questions vent whatever you need.

If you haven't already got one I highly recommend that you get a meter. This is the tool that will help you make decisions based on what different foods do to your blood sugar levels.

Read around ask questions.

Good luck and welcome.
