Ive been a diabetic for 12 years now . Been on diets , tablets, and finally insulin. At the beginning I was not too keen on insulin and having sharp objects suck in various part of your body now I wonder how much of a wimp I was, Type 1 kids go through a lot worse for much longer than me. Im an OAP around 71 still work part time. Advice keep active, if you can.Dont take too much notice of what you read, Take advice from your Doc and Nurse but remember what they tell you one year will slightly different the next. The best guide too your health is your own body Treat it like a hobby and keep a good senses of humor Mike

it's a sad fact that doctors and Diabetic Specialist Nurses must inevitably know lesss than their long term patients. So if reading stuff by diabetics, it probably makes sense.
