New to the forum! Recently diagnosed (21 m)

Hello everyone!

I have been a T1D since January of last year. I'm currently 21 and a student at Georgia Tech pursuing a degree in computer science. I am very health conscious and like to think I manage my diabetes, but my A1C says otherwise. I would love to have a sense of belonging in the diabetic community because I have come to realize the tremendous strain it has on you mentally even if you don't realize it. In my free time, I enjoy martial arts, specifically Muay Thai, yoga, trying new things, chess, running, weightlifting, programming, and exploring nature. I would love to connect with some similar people!

Welcome from this old member, who has T2. Probably the only thing we have in common is that we are members here. A diverse community, with friendly members, so you should get some replies soon from those who identify with you.
