Hello
I have just been to I type 2 this is hereditary and I am hoping to get rid of it. I have not been given meds as I want try and get rid of it. I'm not really over weight but have a spare tyre that Im
Working on. I have been given a blood machine and its averaging on 6.4 in the morning, dropping to 6 in afternoon and rising to about 7 in the evening is this high or normal, how will I know if its going ?
I do LCHF and it works for me. Most mornings my fasting bg is 4.3 and postprandial the same as the preprandial reading while my diagnostic OGTT test said 20.6 at one hour and 14 at two hours.
Have look at the Dietdoctor and you will understand! For me it is the cure and my bg is so normal you wouldn't believe I was diabetic. This morning my fasting bg was 4.2 for example.
get rid of? hmmmm it is apparently for life but i say if you say you can get rid of it then you can! controlling it is what i do, a bg monitor is the only way to know how its going really, you test your blood before you eat then 2 hours after and this gives you an indication as how that food is effecting your blood,
peeing is your bodies way of trying to flush out the sugar, as you bg improves so will this
Your meter readings are actually very good and only marginally diabetic. LCHF means LowCarbHighFat. You need to focus on the Low Carb and have enough fat (and protein) to give you the calories you need; you don't need to have High Fat as such. Is suspect if you reduce your carbs a bit you may regain normal blood sugar readings?
Thanks Andy , what is a normal blood sugar reading. I have cut out loads of carbs and joined a gym so I'm really glad its working, I would love to just get rid if it but dr said I can't as its heredity , do you think that's right ? It's as if its nothing to dr and the diabetic nurse but to me I'm really scared
