All the best for 2016 @babsy2I wonder what New Years Resolutions Diabetically people might have in the coming year or any major improvements in other health conditions people might have I have multiple health problems and my ambition for diabetes is to loose another stone before I see DN in June and I'd like to move to either sheltered accommodation or Extra Care Housing either this year or no later than 18 months My wife and I have the criteria but we need to pass assessment & then get a property which is suitable for us and which is available
Thank you and happy new year and good luck with your financesAll the best for 2016 @babsy2
I just want my financies to be a bit more reliable. Which stressses me less then improves my diabetes..
I will try my best with stopping smoking, will take it one day at a timeLook after the first @ally1 and the 2nd will take care of itself. I kicked it a couple of months back (damned hard) but I started with a "why am I going outside to have one" approach, and day by day, it got easier. Hate the smell of the smoke, wonder why I did it and have not looked back. My wife had the courage to do it, so why couldn't I? Needed further encouragement and I got it from a few DCUK members. I could let myself down and forgive myself in the process, but them?. Nope.
I want to stop smoking and to manage my money better
Thank you and happy new year and good luck with your finances
Thankyou for your kind words I gave up smoking in 2008 but I had to give up for medical reasons I think if you have a reason like health you find it easier I was a 30 a day man I have a lot of admiration for people who want to give up and they succeed RESPECTI echo what Mike has said Ally, a lot of people here are really full of admiration for what you've done for yourself to get well - it took determination. Don't forget that there is a lot of support available if you want to stop smoking, Gp's often have smoking cessation groups, local healthcare will have them too, phoneline support, patches, gum, inhalator on prescription..
It's there for you, so make use of it. I've got total faith that you can do this!
For Babsy, I wish you better health in the coming year. I don't make resolutions about health as I know just how fragile life can be, how it can all go badly wrong and nobody knows for sure how things will pan out. All we can do is our best, no more than that. That's what I intend to do.
