Welcome! I would not want hypos every day. You might call your team to ask for more of an adjustment? If you are new to type 1 you are probably going through the honeymoon phase and are still making some insulin sometimes. So it can be erratic and harder to control. Learn to carb count and do corrections as fast as possible, it will make control easier.
Thanks so much for reply , sorry took so long to read this, did get lows sorted out , still have them because I forget to eat, but learning, managing insulin much better thank you so much
Still getting lows because you bolused for a meal and forgot to eat? Or if you just forget to eat and get lows because of that?
Because if you get lows because you prebolused and then forget to eat, lol.....I do that too and usually set a timer because of it. But if you are getting lows just because you forget to eat, your basal is too high. Your basal should keep you at the same level even when you don't eat. It's supposed to only be for what your liver decides to make. If you are dropping when not eating and not bolusing a basal test might be helpful.
