There a few different things provided (for free) by Abbott for the libre reader that you can use on Windows.
You can:
- Use LibreView: you can sign up here:https://www.libreview.com/, this is an online reporting tool for the libre - I think it can upload from your reader,
- Use the standalone software Abbott provide (I had to hunt for it cos it is kinda hidden) for their reader:
- Go to the following page: https://www.freestylelibre.co.uk/libre/discover/preparing-for-a-medical-appointment.html
- Scroll down to where it has a big 'Sign Up for LibreView' button, press it (ok, its not really the correct wording for the button but nevermind)
- A popup window appears, scroll down to the bottom and there will be two buttons - one button to download the software for Windows, one for a Mac, press the button for the Windows one and it will download the installer for the standalone Software. Then use said installer to install it.
- Also you can use the Diasend software (https://www.diasend.com/ -this is not provided by Abbott fyi but is free) that many of the hospitals also use - I share my data with my hospital clinic through that, using the Diasend uploader for my Libre reader, but I think
- With Diasend you may also be able to link upto LibreLink on your phone as well, but not sure.
Thanks for that @Rokaab, really helpful.
But it leads to a second question!
I have got Libreview up and running on W10 and have uploaded from the reader. However, whilst it shows all the readings I have instigated it does not show the readings during the night at 15 min intervals, this is why I bought the system!
Do you get the auto reading in Libreview?
Librelink is an app to download on your mobile to scan the sensor not a software you need on a laptop
I'm not sure why you think you need to download software on youe laptop so could you maybe explain please? You upload the information via the cable to Libreview and I don't remember ever having to have software to do that
xx

How many days have you been using the Libre, and do you make sure to scan before sleeping? You need to scan every eight (if I recall) hours, to make the automatic reading seamless, 24/7.
I dont know about scanning at least every 8 hours, I reckon I am scanning 8 time an hour! It is my new toy and to answer your question I have had the libre for 2 days.
The 15 min readings are in the unit somewhere because when I upload to Tidepool they are shown, but just not in a very user friendly way.
Would also like to see it in the friendlier LibreView
