Newbie - Hi all :)

Hello everyone my name is Emma and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10. I am now 23 and managing my diabetes well, after a couple of years of illness and episodes of DKA. I am the only person in my family to have diabetes and there isnt any family history of it (as far as i know) so diabetes was alien to me in the early years...Im not sure what else to say really apart from HELLO!!

Hi Emma and welcome to the forum I'm glad that you are now managing your diabetes well and are not having as many problems as before. If you have any questions go ahead and ask as there is usually someone who will have an answer for you. In the meantime, have a good read around as there is lots of information on here on all sorts of topics.
