Hi
@Bazdavis and welcome
You’ve definitely come to the right place for information, advice and support.
First, a couple of questions for you, which will help people to tailor their responses to you. Are you taking any medication for your diabetes, and if so, which ones?
What sort of readings are you seeing on the contour next?
Is the 175 you mention your HbA1c? If so, then it’s not directly related to the readings you’re getting on the contour next. The HbA1c is an estimate of your average blood sugar levels over the previous 8-12 weeks, whereas the readings you take yourself are a snapshot of what your blood sugars are at that particular moment.
There is a calculator which can give you a rough idea of what your own blood sugar readings might translate into in terms of an HbA1c and vice versa, but it is only a guide. You can find it
here (although I’m not getting it to work on my ipad).
I’m not sure how long you’ve been diagnosed, but if fairly recently, then the link below may be helpful.

Do come back with any other questions.
