I went to see the specialist on Wednesday my HbA1c is at 4.5 (in old Money) so doing fine. He thinks the lifted levels were due to a bug and nothing to worry about. All the other figures are still heading in the right direction after ND. My liver function was a concern after I finished the ND but is almost back to normal now. I am eight weeks in to the gym programme the hospital set me on when I ended ND and I have lost over 3% of body fat and put on 7llbs of muscle but only gained 2lbs in weight. That's what my doctor calls good weight because its lean muscle not fat. Never had any muscle before. He has reduced my Metformin to two a day from four a day and once we know that is not effecting feeling great the ND itself was hell but it has made such a difference to my health and life in general. I would only do it with support of doctor because of risks (my liver showed that) but I would do it again if I had my time over.
