I have not used insulin myself, but I know many fellow diabetics both type 1 and type 2 who are coping really well on insulin, some type 2s even say they wish they had gone on insulin sooner.I think most type 2 would go on a long acting insulin at first and then carefully watch their carb intake and so avoid the risk of hypos. but there are lots of good people in here to give you advice on this issue if you need it.
