Hi,
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 last Wednesday. It's been a massive shock and a lot to try to come to terms with. She is 8. Looking to find people to chat with that understand. There is no one in her school with diabetes and we don't know anyone either. Thanks everyone.
 
Hi, welcome to the forum, this is such a good place to chat and get advice, my 4 year old daughter was diagnosed last November and it was tough but it does get easier

welcome to the forum
hopefully you have a care plan in place for your daughter at school.
if not you need to speak with your daughter's DSN and she will arrange to get all relevant peeps involved to set one up-- your daughters care is paramount !!
what treatment is your daughter receiving currently ?
MDI injections or on a pump ?

there is a lot of great support for either type of treatment here on the forum .

do keep posting -- it must feel daunting but we will help support your family

Hi @Dazzlergirl, our 10 year old daughter diagnosed type 1 10 days ago , shell shocked at the moment with all the info I have to get used to . Daughter doing fine so far x
