Thank you. So I will need to buy one? I wasn’t sure if they provided them! Like I said, I’m so new to this I have no clue!
 
Some surgeries provide a meter but then you have to buy the strips, so choosing a meter which has fairly cheap strips is a better bet. I use the Tee 2 from Spirit Healthcare, sign up on site, confirm by email (that you are diabetic) and then order free of VAT - or phone up and try for a free meter maybe.
