Hi everyone, I,m new to the forum as I’ve been diagnosed with Pre diabetes yes overweight, and eating nice food
Looking to put things right, or at the very least change my eating habits.
Would appreciate daily meals which would help me on my way.
At the moment cereals for breakfast, Corn beef sandwich and crisps for lunch, and cooked meal at night, from chips, burgers and roast dinners, and sweet things in between
Yes all nice but very wrong, some pointers would be much appreciated.

As you are still prediabetic you can act now, stop those high carb foods and possibly return to normal numbers, but very few type twos would eat breakfast cereal. Mornings are usually the time to eat really low carb - just a small amount to stop the dawn phenomenon and insulin resistance pushing blood glucose levels high.
Once I have had a meal in the morning I simply do not need lunch, but something other than starchy foods would be a much better choice for you.
I eat in the evenings, meat or fish, or seafood, with some salad, or stirfry or roasted veges done with the meat. I chose low carb foods, but I was way into the high numbers before I was diagnosed.
With carby snacks in between carby meals - if you go on the same way it will mean you are going to get further into the realms of type two and all that can mean.
You do not have to starve or even hit the road or the gym when available. Change the sorts of foods and you should see and feel improvements.

Hi @MikeyGt200x5 and welcome!

The key to dietary change for those with type 2 diabetes / pre-diabetes is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates you eat. They all turn to sugar in the blood.

You asked for daily meal ideas. Take a look at www.dietdoctor.com for a raft of information on which foods to eat, recipes, meal plans and so on. Some of it is paid for, but you can get what you need to get started by browsing the free sections.

As you seem to be a meat eater, it shouldn’t be difficult to find things that are low in carbs that you enjoy - all meat, fish, eggs, cheese, butter are good, along with (if desired) vegetables that grow above ground.

There’s a low carb section of the forum which includes a thread where people discuss what they have eaten that day. That should also give you some ideas.
