Hi @Tuddy and welcome to the forum! There's a lot of good advice and support on here. I don't know anything about Type 1 and hypos, but I expect that someone who is Type 1 will come along with an answer soon.

Are you type 1 or type 2 ? your post says type 2 but the info under your user name says type 1?
