Hi to all.
My name is Lynn, but this user name was being used so I am now Charlie's nan.
I am a 55 year old type 2 diabetic.
I became a diabetic in 1997 just using diet to control it, but this method did not work, so I was put onto Metformin & another drug but the name escapes me at the mo.
To cut a long story short. In Sept 07 I was put onto insulin. OMG did I gain weight. I ballooned up to 23 1/2 stone in no time at all. I was having breathing difficulties, panic attacks, problems with getting around full stop. Anyway I was eventually put onto Byetta approx 2 months ago, & the background insulin. I have weighed myself this morning and guess what, I now weigh 19 1/2 stone. This is still a very heavy weight, but it is comming off quite quickly at the mo. Whether the loss will keep up at the rate it is now, we will have to see.
Anyway that's me done, hope I can get to know you all during my periods on this site.
