I did it in January when I was diagnosed. FBG was 12.4. I lost a lot of weight in 8 weeks doing keto(under 20g carbs) 800cals, and after 12 weeks my first A1c test resulted in a 39 so GP agreed to allow me to continue without medication. I now eat LCHF, don't count calories, but only eat in a four hour window. I'm now down 100lbs. I have to keep carbs under 40g to keep my bloods good.

It would be good to know what technique you used (shakes, soups, real food, vegetarian, vegan), the outcome after 8 weeks in terms of BG control (FBG) and whether you define yourself as better control, reversed, remission. Just as interested in what didn't go well after tried.
