I made the same mistake when I bought Tesco's own meal replacement drink one day out shopping and found I was hungry. I opened it, drank it and only then decided to check out the information. It was something like 28 per cent sugars!!!! It's a minefield, I know, but diabetics have to read lables for sugars and carbs, which turn into sugars.
HhI wonder if anyone can give me suggestions in what I may be doing wrong please? I'm half way through my second week on the Newcastle diet with slim fast my fasting sugars in the morning are just sitting around the 6.1-6.4 mark and I can't seem to get it any lower at the moment, I've also noted slim fast is high in sugar could this be the problem? I've stopped my sitagliptin and metformin too is this right?
Hi Winonawoo this is my first post I'm on day two of the Ncle diet iv been using the Atkins Shake from Sainsburys 3 for £4 Carbs 1.3g Sugar 0.8g Protein 15g per 330ml my first day my Fasting blood count was 12.4 and this morning 9.2 one of the main reasons for me doing the Ncle diet is not for the weight loss but rid my organs of visceral fat the weight loss is good toI wonder if anyone can give me suggestions in what I may be doing wrong please?
