Hi Everyone,
I'm also new to the forum and look forward to reading other users' messages and sharing experiences. My name is Ellis I'm a type 2 diabetic originally from Sunderland but now live in Israel and have just joined a local diabetes forum there, so it will be interesting for me to be sharing on one forum in Hebrew and on the other - this one - in English.
Diabetes is top priority in research over here too, and there is a biotech company here that is working on a new peptide for the treatment of type 1, which is on the verge of being taken over by one of the big US pharmaceutical companies. The compound in question is currently in phase 3 trials, so if it is successful and wins regulatory approval and goes on the market it could really be a big breakthrough for type 1 sufferers.
