Hi, I’m new to T2 I was diagnosed with T2 2 weeks ago and I’m finding it quite difficult to get my head around it, I am also disabled and I am a full time wheelchair user with limited mobility, when i was tested my numbers were sky high but I had no symptoms, please tell me it gets better? Are there any disabled people who have started their journey with T2 would mind explaining how you managed to get it under control? Thanks
I am in a wheelchair following a stroke. Before then, I reduced my T 2 blood glucose to non-diabetic levels purely by cutting out carbs and sugars from my diet. You don't have to cut them out as I did; often cutting them down is enough. I can't exercise and the diet changes have been enough to control my blood glucose. Now I am taking a medication - Dapagliflozin - where I have to eat a certain amount of carbs, so I eat these as a minimum.
