newly diagnosed.. are these symptoms?

I have been diagnosed T1 for over a week now.. iv been finding it really hard to keep bs down.. and have been from 3 to 35+ on the meter.. and with that had different symptoms, lots that iv expected and coping ok with.. and others I don't have a clue if they are related..

I have been back to work a few days, and I'm finding concentrating really difficult, seems like my short term memory has deteriorated too!.. (maybe sounding a little far fetched?)
this afternoon iv not been able to stop scratching, im itchy all over, specifically my stomach area and my ribs, but even my shoulders, face and head are itchy?

any info would be great! xx
 
Concentration, tiredness and itching are all a symptom of high BG.

I suspect the memory issue is from difficulty in concentration though.

I had that and was trying to keep alert by taking in more sugar. Of the causes I suspected diabetes came as quite a relief.

I don't remember itchy skin but others have.

Do a search for diabetes + the symptom.
