Type 2
My husband was diagnosed type 2 a few years ago ( on Metformin ) a few weeks ago he started having headaches. To cut a long story short, he's now on gliclazide and humulin.
He also has DCMand, an ICD and thyroid problems.
Is there anyone out there who also has DCM and an ICD ?
Curious to know if anyone had noticed changes to their DCM with insulin ?
Thanks

Hi @Toonfan and welcome to the forum.

I understand that ICD is an abbreviation for implanted cardioverter defibrillator and DCM is an abbreviation for dilated cardiomyopthy. Have I got that right?

If you could tell us more about what is happening to your husband and what his specialist has said about the changes he is experiencing.
I am bumping your post up so that it is more visible to other people who may be able to help.

Thanks for the reply, you're correct about the abbreviations
he's only been on humulin for two weeks and we haven't seen any specialist doctors either at the diabetes clinic or the cardiac unit.
He's due to see his cardiologist in August and we're just waiting to get an appointment through for the diabetes specialist, having only seen the nurses.
I was just curious as to whether the insulin could interfere with his heart meds.
I tried googling ( big big mistake ) as there's all much contradictory info out there, all I did was scare the c**P out of myself !
