Newly diagnosed for Gestational diabetes

On Tuesday I was diagnosed with GD. My first appt with the team is 28th sept! which is ages away..i havent even been given test strips so i can carry on testing and this is really frustrating me. I ahd GD in 1st preg and they saw me pretty quick.
Im going to try and get some test strips from GP tomorrow, as i sstill haev my old machine.

Any thoughts or suggestions? or anyone experienced a long wait for appt??

Hi and welcome. I have no experience in this area but just wanted to welcome you to the forum and also to tag @daisy1 so she can come by and post some newbie info in your thread. How was the GP appointment, did you get some test strips?
