Have an appointment tomorrow morning which I thought was to go through kidney and liver test results. Was only told time/date details and that more blood would be needed. Poking around on the NHS app I happened to click on 'appointment' and was horrified to see 'Diabetes review'. I had gone to the dotors (never actually saw a Dr.) with a pain in my side and was diagnosed with gastritis. I still have the pain so I went back and the nurse I saw took blood ,eventually after a great deal of poking and prodding - why do I hate needles? - and said it was for kidney and liver function. Hah!!!

I am panicking now as all the forbidden foods are what I eat and there is very little 'approved' food that I will allow near my mouth. I am a super taster, which means everything is greatly exaggerated - tastes and smells. I can't even be in the same room as a pot of yoghurt, for instance.

I have come to the conclusion that the only way foward is the very low cal. meal replacement thingy. What are my chances of getting the nurse to accept this?

Tell us the foods you can eat, and we'll be able to advise you. should you actually be pre or diabetic.
I only eat the bad stuff - white bread, pasta and rice. Love my spuds and detest most veggies, particularly leafy greens.

I rather think I may have a fatty liver and probably pancreas, as the pain is nowhere my 'inflamed stomach lining', which could explain my horribly high whoohaa reading of 92mmol/mol. As I understand it, after much keyboard bashing this week, there is no fix for this except weight loss, so that is all I can think to do.

Low carb IS the best quickest way to achieve this, without any hunger pangs.
