Hoping someone might have some advice.
Recently got diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 29 weeks pregnant. I’ve been told to test my blood glucose when I wake up and 1hour after every meal. Today is only day 2.
I woke up today with levels of 5.9 which Is just over the 5.3 I’ve been told to be below. I had porridge with peanut butter and apple mixed in as that was recommended foods, but my levels 1hour after was 10.9!
I had 2 multigrain toast with marmite yesterday for breakfast and spiked to 10.4!
My levels were good after lunches and dinner.
Any recommendations for breakfast that won’t make my sugar sky high?

Hello, and welcome, @Natalie993
It is most likely the high carb foods you are having for breakfast causing the spikes in your blood glucose levels. The toast, porridge and apple. Eggs are a good option, or if you like porridge, the diet doctor site has an alternative to the oat porridge. Also some ideas for other breakfasts.
