Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and a little confused as to what certain symptoms mean. Sometimes i will get a feeling of weakness as if from hunger, not particularly hungry, is this anything to do with my blood sugar levels ? Also i am prescribed Metformin which i have just been made aware may have a link to dementia, any thoughts. Thanks.
Hi @grelstfi welcome. The majority of us have been at the same point where you are now. It's a learning curve so give yourself some time. Ask away if you've got any questions. When my blood sugars were always high, I was extremely weak and fatigued all the time, to the point of sometimes losing muscle control, so I'd fall down. So... That could be an indicator, yes. Be weary of putting everything down to diabetes though. Get control of your blood sugars, give yourself some time, and see if it improves. If it doesn't, keep looking for answers.
