Isn't the core of the problem the toxins and **** we digest in our bodies?

I'm angry that the World Health Organisation and the Food Standards Agency allows so many additives, e numbers, etc, etc into our food chain. That, IMHO is the whole crux of the problem and until we tackle the CAUSE we will continue to see a rise in the EFFECT.

I don't want to see drug companies get rich at the expense of diabetics, I want to see better control and regulation of additives in our foodstuffs.
 
I wonder, is some of the increase in people with diabetes due to the fact that people live longer with diabetes now? I guess this wouldn't explain all the increase though.
