Before i got diagnosed with diabetes, i noticed my weight was going up and I started back in keeping fit going on walks, jogging, and even doing dance and aerobics, I enjoy these, then I noticed something was wrong,I was working out great eating before a work out yet did not eat immediately after a work out spaced out my food in take plus how much, what i noticed was my weight was not going down as it should it was going up, so i seen my gp asked for some advice to what could be causing weight gain whilst exercising,i had a thyroid test and that came back negative did have repeat tests same thing negative, I was for a long time being monitored for diabetes as i had gestational while pregnant years ago, and when i had pre eclampsia before gestational diabetes, i was showing signs later on my health was catching up with me for diabetes and even signs to watch out for cardiovascular disease which is linked to gestational diabetes and pre eclampsia. For years I had problems since the pre eclampsia my body was not functioning the same it was going in to all kinds of delays, and because of that it triggered off the diabetes which i ended up diagnosed with last month, cut a long story short i found a site that has a app called nexercise.com and anything you do on a day house work, running, walking, yoga whatever is on the nexercise list and your going to do something on the list you choose the option put the timer on and you carry on doing what your doing when you finished that task of fitness you stop the timer then it gives you a score a post with medals plus you get rewards to, it inspires and motivates to keep aiming for more activities and keep at it, since i have been doing this i have felt great in my myself i feel the benefit of all activities and while i eat healthy and exercise using the nexercise app to to record all activities, it also gives you the option to keep track of your weight, when you see your weight is coming down it gives you the boost to not give up, so every day i go walks, i do all kids of fitness, plus do me house work and it keeps me active and i eat fresh veg, fruit, veg, i do not eat anything arificial or processed because they mess up your body, the food i call gods food i eat that,i do not eat cakes and high fat, if i do make anything i make it myself from scratch that way i know what is going in the meals, i even make my own bread i do not add salt no sugar to it and it still tastes like bread, some times i turn the bread in to a fruit loaf using fresh fruit and it is lovely, i want to encourage as many people who have diabetes to keep fit not give up, once you find something you enjoy and stick with it, you find you enjoy the activity and it will help you lose wait, never expect to lose weight over night have patience, because you will see the weight will come off by eating sensible eating healthy and check your blood glucose to for what foods are pushing sugers up high you can eliminate that food if it is harming you, and some diabetics when exercising do not over exercise as you do not want to go hypo or hyper for those who go hyper, you must not exercise if you show keytones in your urine other wise your glucose level will keep going up, that is only if your having a hyper. If there is no keytones then do mild to medium exercise and still monitor keytones, anyone suffering hypos prone to them, make sure you eat and drink something healthy yet satisfies your body so you do not go hypo before you exercise, only do exercise you can cope with, you do not need a gym you do not need to do extreme work outs walking is good enough to lose weight whilst eating healthy, if you can manage and hour of walking go for it,or start small with 30 and work your way up, always carry with you a emergency hypo kit with you in case you go hypo, and those who go hyper be careful you do not over do it be careful and always have a back up plan what you know works for you to reduce your sugars during a hyper, always alert someone you know family member or friend your out and where and an idea when you will be home if you go out so they know what to do if you get in to problems always have a mobile phone with you so if you had a unexpected moment of hypo or hyper you can ring for help or get a person near by to help you....if you want to try out the nexercise please do it is helping me and i know it can help you to.
