NHS Doctors Rant!!!

@mpe Yes I believe some of them can be quite honest,and I had some experience of this abot 12 years ago when I had a couple of eye rather nasty problems (at the same time) - although the consultant knew what they where (and how mainly to deal with them) he had no idea after discussions with me as to why they had occurred, and we never got to the bottom of this.

I was sent to a so-called migraine consultant who had the same attitude, but his was "I ask the question, you just answer yes or no"!! - I wasn't allowed to even qualify my answers. I was a long time migraine sufferer and my own doctor knew this and sent me in the hope that the expert could give us some help regarding better medication/treatments, but all he was able to come up with was the fact that I did actually get migraines (Hello!! :eek::eek:) and that I should take a holiday... Neither of us were ver impressed with him needless to say.

I cant remember though whether he was a bow tie consultant or a normal, but eggy tie one...:p

Have also seen an eye consultant who was like a mad professor, and looked like one too! This one just loved his work and research projects he was involved in and would rattle away on technical explanations of your eyes and why this and that was so, often you came out with a headache and totally bamboozled by science. I loved seeing him , even though I didn't understand half of what he said as his manner was so different from some of the conveyor belt or arrogant ones.

But they changed my clinic days so now I get to see a different one, and he's usually really harassed and defensive. But to be fair the last time. I was there , there was an old guy sitting next to me , who every time the consultant came out his office started f...ing and blinding at him in a loud voice for the amount of time he'd been waiting .
