Hello. I was diagnosed as Type 2 on 13th April. The Dr gave me, and I completed, the form to get a Free Prescription card. It still hasn't arrived. What is the normal length of time this takes in people's experience ?

I signed it and left it for the Dr to complete his bit.
The Dr told me to go next door to Lloyds to fill my prescription for Metformin, and to call him if they refused to let me have it for free, so I thought he would also be signing the form and sending it off, but no doubt it has been lost.

The Dr was wrong to tell you that. You should have told the pharmacist you had applied and he can give you something (forget what its called now) so you can claim back the money once you have your exemption card.
