Hello all
I've been diagnosed type 2 since March - finally grasped the nettle in June and am coming up to 3 months of increased exercise, low carbs and have lost weight ( I'm 8st 13 now - 5ft 1 ). My blood sugar readings are getting there, but it is fairly rare that I'm in the 5s. Anyway .. yesterday I had a REIKI session, which made me feel wonderful AND when I tested my BG afterwards it was 5.3 ( had been in the 7s 2 hours earlier ).
What was great though, was to lay there for nearly an hour and to stop worrying about Type 2 for a while. To feel positive energy, to rest and regather myself, and to sense that the practitioner had my best interests at heart and genuinely wanted to help me.
For the past 3 months, thinking about every mouthful of food, testing myself, dealing with the NHS and the dreadful care it provides regarding type 2, telling friends who need to know, obsessing about exercise and having NO TREATS .... living , breathing and overdosing on diabetes, I reckon the REIKI was much needed!!
It's worth a try. x
