Hi, I'm new here so hope this is in the right place, if not please don't hate me 
. Hubby is type 2 diabetic, on metformin 850mg 3 times a day, but good control until he stopped smoking about 3 months ago with patches & Nicorette gum. Levels are all over the place...average 9-13, Gp tried gliclaxide but it interracted with his other medication( car crash/frontal lobe head injury/schizophrenia/psychosis....but that's another story lol )....We are back on strip testing but my gut instinct is that the Nicorette gum is affecting sugar levels...anyone have any similar experiences/ advise please?
