Hi all, I’ve been type 1 for 43 years and have been changed from Glargine to Levemir. I take 21 at 7 a.m and 5 at tea time. I can go to bed on a 14 and wake up at 3.30 or 5 a.m on a 3. Should I just have one shot of Levemir in the morning? I’ve had 2 tries of the Libre and it’s showing that I always drop in the night. I don’t suffer from dawn phenomena though. But.... if I have even a thimble full of Lucozade in the night, after waking up normally everything rises and I get ‘stuck’ on highs for the day. Any help very welcome as I’m confused and my clinic don’t get back to you for a week x

Have you taken your 3:30 and 5am readings from your Libre or is it from finger pricks and do you have any other symptoms of night time hypos?
The reason I ask is that some people have reported the Libre reporting low when you put pressure on it when you sleep.

I would recommend checking the Libre readings before tweaking your basal insulin.
