I've got a real bad cold and sore throat and couldn't sleep last night, I've got some Night Nurse liquid and after reading the leaflet it only says to consult a doctor before taking if you have diabetes ( I have just been diagnosed with type 2). It does state each dose contains 12.8g of glucose. Does antone know if its safe to take ?

As a Type 2, it probably won't do you much harm, just raise your blood sugar quite quickly, but then chocolate, bread and cakes probably have more carbs in them than a spoonful of this.

The warning is probably there for diabetics who take insulin who would have to factor in the glucose to how much insulin they need to take.

Night Nurse do capsules without the glucose, so I think these would be better for a diabetic.
