Apologies for another post but couldn't figure out how to add a new photo to my last one

Curious to get thoughts on last night's reading. No major carbs. Had 60g from garlic bread. I did have a large bottle of amstel at about 9.00pm but had 2 units of Qa to compensate.

Seems like there was a sharp rise then drop during night so just wondered why. Still think I need to raise my evening insulin slightly

To be honest @Hattonma , I wouldn't be worrying about what your evening insulin was doing - I'd be far more concerned that at midnight I was 15mmol/l and when I woke up I was 17 or 18. Whilst you probably need a little more overnight to avoid that 3mmol rise, you really need to go to bed at a much lower level (6-8) and see what happens as at increased blood glucose levels, the body tends to require more insulin to effect the same level of control.

Hi @tim2000s thanks for the message. What the graph doesn't show is that when I went to bed at 10pm my sugar was 12. I had 2 units of Qa insulin to bring it down but it still rose consistently through the night?

@Hattonma, Going to bed at 12, the same applies. Once you are in to that level, insulin requirements change.

Interesting. Are there any particular rules that should be followed in these instances??
