i thought that i had on occasion had a low blood sugar at night because i wake up really hot and sweating but be really cold, but at the time it doesnt register to take my blood sugar, at 5am this morning i had the same so i tested myself and i was 28.6, i know thats high but im used to it being high, and lows within normal range make me feel unwell as im so unused to it, my question is does amyone else have night sweats and feel hot but shivver with the cold and have high readings ? and any idea why this happens ?

It sounds like you are having a hypo durung the night, and the high in the morning is a rebound from the low during the night.

I used to have trouble with high blood sugars in the morning, not sure whether I needed to raise or lower my insulin. I eventually realised if I have a reading over 15 but I'm not desperate to go to the loo, then it's not a "proper" high blood sugar it's a rebound.

Maybe it's just me, but hope that helps you work it out.
