I have Cluster Headaches. My GPs messed me about for years giving me what turned out to be out of date treatments that had been proved not to work. At that time only hospitals could prescribe Oxygen (NHS always changing regulations) so had to refer me to a Neurologist. I had a brain scan (MRAs are they called?). This is just to protect the hospital in case they overlook a brain tumour or whatever by not doing one. It was clear. I was prescribed drugs as well as the Oxygen. It was the best thing that ever happened as the Neurologists have a good variety of treatments to try to control the number and severity of the headaches. They had started off as painful headaches starting about half a hour after going to sleep several nights a week to almost constant indescribably painful headaches day and night. The night time ones were far worse, i actually banged my head on wardrobes and my bedroom wall. Suddenly with the drugs, injections and Oxygen my life became enjoyable again. Yes, headaches can still occur but they can be dealt with. You'll get all the help and advice you need from the advice lines for sufferers. It would not surprise me to discover that there are several groups for Cluster Headaches on FB. I rarely snore so perhaps your's are caused by a sleep problem. It is the first time I've personally heard of it but have several friends who after the sleep deprivation tests ended up with the masks on oxygen all night. They say that it is the best thing that as ever happened to them health wise. I wish you all the best. Fortunately my Cluster Headaches were under control before I developed Diabetes.
