Hi, can anyone offer advice on how to deal with what I'm told is clock reversal when I do nights. I go to bed in morning and am up every hour on the loo as if I've been drinking gallons, and therefore end up getting really tired. Gp confirms it is the diabetes causing it, very supportive in offering to write to work for me, but no advice on how to deal with it, any suggestions ? Julia.

Hi Julia, I work nights as well. During the night I seem to retain water and, if I do not drink plenty overnight, I too trot to the loo all day !

I usually do not go to bed immediately on return to home but try and relax for a while, this has the effect of getting rid of some of the retained water and at least I get a good two -three hours sleep before I have to go to the loo.

I have been going up to 4 times a night, but not having tea or coffee after about 4 o'clock in the afternoon has cut thos down to 1 trip per night, which is MUCH more restful

Thanks Hana, its actually the daytime I struggle with when on nights, do appreciate you looking, the more advice I get the better, diabetes is much bigger than I realised. Regards, Julia.
