Approved No-added-sugar chutneys - would you buy them?

Sorry - I wouldn't buy them. I just eat regular chutney eg I'll put a bit in my cheese sandwich, or have some mango chutney with a curry. I find the amount eaten is small so I dont worry about them. In the same way, I have a small amount of regular jam on my toast if I want it.

I'm not a fan of specialist diabetic products in general (not having a go at your idea - just a general statement).

Also, I personally would rather have a little bit of sugar than any artificial sweetener. This is mainly because I prefer natural over artificial, but also because I find they tend to taste weird.

IF chutneys are accompanying a carb meal eg curry and rice, or cheese and pickle sandwich, then I'm far more concerned about the rice and bread carb content than the minuscule amount from any condiments.

I think people are more interested in natural whole food than artificial sugar free ones. Just my personal opinion : )

I think there is a market for them. A farmers market is a great idea. I used to do one for the WI. The labeling is key. But it does enable you to sell small amounts at first. Putting samples out will help.

You might enjoy it. But like everything else you may have to limit the amount you have.
