No added sugar squash

Right on, lovinglife! That Mexican Lime Squash is a permanent fixture in my fridge. It's lovely!

And the fizzy spring water is really nice, too. My favourite is lemon and lime.

It's double concentrated, so it lasts forever in the fridge!
 
For those who liked Ribena I noticed it's buy one get one free at Tesco at the moment.

Mmm the lime squash sounds nice. Adding that to my next shopping list.
 
Wish I liked fizzy drinks but unfortunately I don't so the fizzy waters are not an option. I will occasionally drink a Pepsi Max or similar but very rarely.

However Ribena is half price in Morrisons so I have amassed 10 bottles this last fortnight, nothing like stocking up lol!

Hi all, to save me going back over the previous posts, is it ok for a T2 diet only to drink sugar free cordial i.e. Ribena has been mentioned and lime juice etc? A yes or no will suffice but if it's not that straight forward I will mooch over the posts when I am at home (rather than at work) :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yes.

Sugar free = go nuts.

No added sugar = beware!

In sainsburys I got a carton of no added sugar cranberry juice. Really nice and virtually no carbs.

I'd check that label again - no added sugar JUICES are usually not as low in sugar as you'd expect. (Although Cranberrie isn't anywhere near as bad as Orange or Apple!)

Fruit has plenty of sugar in it, and when the fruit is juiced, that just concentrates the existing sugar.

There's a WORLD of difference between "No Added Sugar" and "Sugar Free"...

Have you tried kia ora squash i love the mixed fruit as no added sugar they also do an apple blackcurrant and orange flavour. I i find its more palatable than Robinsons squash and doesn't have that nasty aspartame after taste even though it does contain it
 
I've recently taken to making this-

Carbonated tap water - (best if Yorkshire water, but I realise not everyone is blessed that way...)
Aspalls raw apple cider vinegar - about a teaspoon
A couple of twists of Morrisons best Himalayan pink rock salt.

Sounds horrendous, and I have to be honest, you do need to develop a taste, but basically it's fizzy salt and vinegar, and I was perfectly happy guzzling that flavour in crisp form.. and this has become something I really look forward to, plus covers the "additional electrolyte" issue for me..
 
I have just moved over to lemon tea, peach tea and other fruit teas. Very low in most things and very nice tasting. Currently my drink to go to.

You can also cold brew these. Put the teabag in a jug of water, in the fridge and leave it.

Also, cucumber water. Slices of cucumber and mint in a jug in the fridge.
