No blood.

I tried to check my sugar today. I poked three fingers and got no blood. Yesterday Dr took 4 vials of blood, could there be a connection? Also I take Victoza I was only taking it when my sugar got high. Dr said that I need to take it everyday. I am worried that it could cause my BS to be real low...

I can’t comment on Victoria as not familiar with it but taking vials of blood won’t affect ability to obtain blood from finger pricks.As soon as you drink blood volume replaced. Try and make sure hands nice and warm beforehand, more likely to have an effect.
 
I very rarely have an issue with no or little blood when finger pricking, and I tend to attribute it to either a blunt needle or being a bit dehydrated. But a second attempt - sometimes with a different finger - usually works, and a warm hand, shaking it, rubbing finger can also help.

Regarding vials of blood - for as long as I can remember, when I have a blood test, the vein in my left elbow joint refuses to co-operate and says "Absolutely NOT blood--y likely!!" :wacky: but my right arm is quite happy to donate...

Again I can't help with the Victoza, but check with your doctor about your concerns..
 
I use a Libre now, but have been finger pricking for years until quite recently. Lots of times my fingers refused to part with any blood but my thumbs - only slightly off centre - would always oblige. Result was that, being pricked more often, my thumbs ended up quite sore and bruised. But I am notoriously bad at giving any blood anyway - one doctor even (jokingly I hope) suggested to a nurse that, failing all else, she should just punch me on the nose - that always bleeds very easily! Warm hands help and letting gravity assist by letting hands hang down for a while might allow a little blood to flow.
