No injections....but still a hypo!

I'm T1..... and I've just started this job which involves walking for up to 8 hours a day. As a consequence, I've stopped injecting morning and lunch times, because I simply don't need to.

However, the other day I had the onset of a 'hypo' in the afternoon. Now why is that? I take Levemir of an evening - around 25-30 units depending - surely that wasn't still swimming around?!

Are we still prone to 'hypos' if we don't take insulin and over exert ourselves physically?

Yes your long term insulin is still there.
When I did a weeks backpacking last year I cut breakfast and lunchtime insulin (though still took it for dinner) kept upping carbs, reduced lantus and still had hypos.
My doctor suggested cutting my lantus by half if I tried it again. (but I'm on a pump now so I can reduce my basal as I go that if necessary)
Talk to your doctor, you may be better splitting your dose with an uneven split, you certainly look as if you need to reduce your dose .
