This admittedly is a strange scenarios. I've been type 2 diabetic for 15 years and using a pump now since 2010. Hba1C for last 2-3 clinic visits has been approx 6.2 average so fairly stable BG.
Have been wearing glasses for long distance vision and reading for 8 years now. Prescription has never really changed that much. Suddenly about 3 weeks ago I forgot to put on my driving glasses, jumped in car and drove off. Suddenly remembered about 1 mile away, pulled in and was amazed that I could see fine to drive. Turned around and headed home and drove perfectly. Checked when I got the glasses on and found there was no difference wearing them to not wearing them. Don't even need them now to watch TV either. Strangely do still need my reading glasses though for all reading, computer work etc.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's happening. It's not as if the BG was so high, then settled and blurred vision returned to normal, as is usual for newly diagnosed patients.
Thanks in advance.
