What's others' thoughts? My daughter didn't have her PE kit at school yesterday, but still ended up having to participate in the lesson. Shouldn't she have just sat out if she didn't have her kit?
Personally I would say yes they should still take part.
When I was at school in the 60,s and 70,s, I would deliberately forget my pe kit to avoided doing dance which was part of pe lessons. The schools got clued up on this because many pupils would deliberately forget their kit. The only way to avoid pe lessons then was to have a letter from your parents or have a gp,s note/letter explaining why not being able to join in

Unless there's an additional issue, children aren't usually allowed to sit out because occasional some do forget their kit on purpose in order to miss PE/Games.
