I've been injecting Humulin I for 9 months with great success, my levels are in range 90% of the time after years of being too high nearly always.
However, in the last week my GCM (Libre 2) low glucose alarm has woken me up every night at around 3:30am. I've treated with glucose tabs and a small snack and all ok (except 1 night when that happened 3 times!).
Looking at my stats over the over the last week my levels have been dropping by 5-8 points between midnight and 3am.
Last night was the first night in a week that I haven't been woken-up - but I had a carb heavy snack just before bed - my levels were 9.9 at midnight so a 5.5 point drop didn't trigger the alarm...
The profile of Humulin I is around 12 hours so it doesn't seem like that should be effecting my levels like this 16-19 hours after injecting...
What could be causing this rapid drop? I'm suspecting an infection of some sort. But, are there any other explanations?
Drugs: Morning: Humulin I (30 units). Before bed: 2000mg Metformin
